H is for "Handspun" And Turtles
My handspun from the top left, Still River Mill Mystery Bump/200 yards, two skeins Louet Northern Lights Wool Top/101 yards, and Spunky Eclectic Storm/ 80 yards. I can really tell where I rushed the spinning and plying . But it's mine and I'll have fun working up a couple of small projects with them. I also waxed the cotton drive band with a beeswax candle I had, boy what a difference.
It's Turtle Crossing time again. I assisted this 9" Painted Turtle across the fork in the road.
Happy Guy.

I'm always amazed at how the inconsistencies just fade away when I knit with my handpun. All but the most glaring errors seem to disappear.
What a lucky turtle! I saw a not-so-lucky one on a road just a few weeks ago and a not-so-lucky Canada goose shortly thereafter. I guess I won't be seeing the cute chicks crossing the road at the bridge this year.

Bman is loving the pictures of the wildlife. A bit more hands on than ours. Wish we were there in person. Got a lot use with the mittens again this year. Unfortunately he has grown out of them. I have not! Yah me.
