Wednesday Walk and W.I.P.
I was out today and even jogged down the hilly parts of my walk but I don't have any pictures to prove that it was a dark, dismal, muddy day. I do have proof of my recent "work in progress" with the Irish sock yarn I purchased at the SPA weekend. It's quite scratchy, so different than all the soft, sweet yarns I've been using for past projects. I will have to change to slippery needles too since the yarn just grabs the needles. The colors are drastically different than I would normally select. Maybe I have a touch of what's affecting Kim's choices.
Spa finds, Icelandic fiber and 70%/30% alpaca/merino roving.
I may just finish those socks as a form of frustration relief from machine quilting this twin size quilt. I've only had experience with smaller wall size quilts. Patience is the only way.

Lovely rovings! I'm sorry I missed you. I don't think I even saw you across a room ever.

You picked up some yummy new things!
I have been trying to mix some jogging with my walks too. My knees have not been happy with that.

Until the ice melts, I stick to the treadmill, but I have been known to break into a jog every so often! As for the quilt, there are two schools of thought. One says to roll it all up. The other says just shove it under that arm. Neither seems to work all that well for me! Can't wait to see yours finished!

Lovely roving! I missed seeing you.
I wonder if the sock yarn will soften up with washing, the way Noro is supposed to.

The sock yarn is very pretty. You made some great fiber choices. Good luck with the quilt!
