Quilting Around Purples

Is it hot enough for you? We've been staying cool swimming at the lake.  Playing with any tye of wool just seems crazy to me in this weather. The next best thing is fabrics. I've almost finished this purple quilt.  I'm trying out differnet fabrics for the second tiny border and binding.  I was happy to use up all these purple bits that have been hanging out in my stash!

Like knitting, there is an endless amount to learn and master.

Those fabrics flying on the clothesline from the May 2 post have turned into this:

I knew there was something I've been working on  since there's been little knitting. This is Bento's Box, very easy for a self taught quilter like me.  Jeese, I cut off the right border. I have another small quilt that's at the machine quilter's now.

I  did finished the Cornflower sweater sleeve and now have to decide what kind of collar or hood to add.

Summer's Here

Some knitting has been going on here, but not tons. Cornflower is screaming to be finished but we've been side-tracked by SUMMER.  Gardening, riding, kayaking, reading, (just read all of Lisa See's books, check them out), movies, beach, blueberry picking, raspberries too(we have an incredible patch this year) 13 th Birthday, you know summer stuff. As my friend Martha says, It's a  "Good Thing".

By the way, has anyone knit this  beautiful "Frost Flowers and Leaves"  shawl? I have the book and it's been on my mind.
