Flyingdales in moving forward... and backward as you can see. I 'm happy I decided to modify the edges of this sweater with moss stitch, just wish I had made the decision a little earlier. Off comes the 2x2 ribbing, on with K1 P1. I liked the way Julia finished her cardigan.
This is my favorite Clematis, originally a piece gifted to me by my friend Kim. The first year the lawn guys weed-wacked it by accident. The second year, it was protected with bamboo stakes, somehwhat, but not completly from my son and his weed-wacking talents. This is it's third and glorious year. Ta Da!
This is mouse that Huck, yes, brought inthe house to show us. Next is the wren, vireo, thrush like friend we have nesting in the garage rafter. Try double clicking to see her head and tail sticking out of the nest. Yes, we did try to deter them from moving in, but they were so gd determined. The next dwelling houses, not our bluebirds but a Wren family with Mr. and Mrs. Robin in the limb above in the background. The last shot barely shows the Missus resting on the left top of the bean trellis. Whoopee Spring*
Those are indeed chicken eggs incubating in an electric skillet. I got the idea from the "Backyard Poultry" magazine given to me by Suzanne, who also gave me the eggs. Seemed just a little too weird, yeah, but it did the trick until I was able to borrow a more traditional incubator, thanks to our local Freecycle website here in CT. We are on day 12, candling shows development on schedule. The peeps should hatch on or around day 21. There are two Araucana/Americana(Blue) eggs, 2 Light Brahmas (brown eggs), and a Buff Orpington, or White or Black Cochins. Who knows? I'm no chicken expert. We thought we'd just give it a try. I have enough room for these guys, but we may just hand them over to friends who recently lost their hens to a fischer. Stay tuned.
